Our team of professionals at Leak Detection GTA follow a thorough and consistent process every time to make sure we find anything and everything.
By speaking with the pool owner on-site our team can quickly learn about the normal operation of the pool, when the suspected leak started, any strange activity and other hints that can help.
The Leakalyzer is used to rapidly determine if a leak is present and can help narrow it down to either a structural pool leak or one found in the plumbing lines.
A visual inspection of the equipment and surrounding area allows mechanical issues to be factored in to, or ruled out of, the investigation
Skimmer face plates and gaskets, as well as the plastic body of the skimmer, are all potential leak scenarios. Dye is often used to investigate these areas.
Every plumbing line is individually pressure tested and monitored to narrow down and pinpoint potential breaks or ruptures in the line.
Fiber glass stairs and their surrounding gaskets can also be the source of a pool leak. Once again dye can be used to determine if a leak is present.
Using Sonar technology and visual inspections from a diver, pinhole leaks and tears in a vinyl liner can be found and repaired on-site.
The surface of the pool is visually inspected to search for cracks in the shell of the pool, cracks in the tile line and loose fittings or faceplates that may allow water to escape.
The back side of light niches need to be inspected with dye as they are often the source of tough-to-find leaks.
